How To Reserve Iori Weekly Machiya

Reservation Procedures

1) Go to Reservations and choose the date you would like to stay in the machiya.

2) Fill in the "Reservations" and click "Send."
*Please be sure to read the Terms and Conditions.

3) Iori will check your reservation and will send the pre-confirmation mail to your email address with advance deposit payment amount and details on how to pay. At this point, your reservation is not yet confirmed.

4) When Iori has received the deposit payment, the reservation has been officially processed.
*Iori will send the official confirmation to your e-mail address. The e-mail will contain detailed information about Iori, including a map of the neighborhood,check-in information, and more information about the ORIGIN Arts Program.

Should you wish to cancel anytime after the confirmation of your reservation, a cancellation fee will be charged.

Check-in Procedures

Check-in will be at the Iori Office at Sujiya-cho, address:

Sujiya-cho 144-6
Tominokoji-dori, Takatsuji-agaru
Kyoto, Shimogyo-ku

OR For Nishirokkaku-cho and Nishioshikoji-cho houses, check-in will be at the house. We will give you further information in the confirmation e-mail.

After check-in a staff member will guide you to your machiya, and will give you a short tour of the house.

*We do not provide meals at Iori machiya.

*The Iori machiya have simple kitchens, which can be used to make coffee, toast, etc., but we recommend guests eat out to enjoy Kyoto’s many culinary pleasures, and to preserve the condition of these old houses.

*There are many restaurants in the neighborhood, many of which are open for breakfast. Our staff members would be happy to provide information or make a reservation for you.
