Iori Machiya Zaimoku-cho
It's hard to imagine such a hidden and private house could exist here. When
you enter through the old storehouse door in springtime, you're greeted by
the Kamo river cherry trees in full blossom. Slightly smaller than our
Izumiya-cho machiya, Zaimoku-cho also has a deck overlooking the Kamo river.
This cozy house was once the home of a Miyagawa-cho geisha. Enjoy a
leisurely stay here, and let the sound of the flowing river soothe and relax
you.
Facilities
The 1st floor features an under-floor heating system. The bathroom is modern and western, as with all of the Iori machiya.
