Along with Sujiya-cho, this is one of the biggest machiya,
and its general layout and beamwork, with a variety of
corridors, passageways, inner garden, big-beamed upper
room, etc, make it architecturally one of the most
picturesque.
For Nishioshikoji Machiya is rather big, the group use is recommended. Nishioshikoji Machiya equips two wooden Japanese style bathtubs and three toilets. The big-beamed upper room can hold five to six people. The beamwork in the dining area is quite dynamic. At Nishioshikoji Machiya, the house manager is on duty in the night time to assist guests.
