IORI Japanese Traditional Cultural Foundation

The spirit of Iori rests on preserving the beautiful traditions of Japanese culture and nature and promoting its values to tourists from all over the world.

We sincerely hope that more and more people, not only foreigners but also Japanese nationals will come in contact with the source or origin of Japanese culture and tradition.

Iori regards the traditional urban and rural landscapes and its components as precious gems that have long contributed to the richness of Japanese culture. Therefore, it is our hope to appreciate and preserve them as much and a long as possible.

In order to reach this goal, Iori aims to set up a foundation. Funds raised by the foundation will be used for the purchase of renting or purchasing and the maintenance of traditional townhouses (machiya), as well as the revitalization of old houses to stive for preservation and continuation of Japanese cultural traditions. It is with these goals in mind that Iori engages in business, and any profits will be returned to the foundation. Dividends will be allotted among investors to thank them for sharing and supporting our common goals.

Based upon the ideals and strategy stated above, we would like to set up a fund and welcome donations from both individuals and corporate organizations that support our aims.
