Ishifudono-cho is our smallest house, located deep in a narrow alleyway lined with other old townhouses.
The cozy atmostphere in this machiya is perfect for couples or close friends. This home features a small inner garden, with a comfortable living room and a cypress wood bath.

Ishifudono-cho has a wide entrance that leads into a tatami floored living room. In the kitchen you can still find the old stone well next to the modern appliances. The small tsuboniwa garden can be illuminated at night for enjoyment from the living room and bath.
Matsubara Street is lined with old machiya, many still being used as homes and shop fronts as they have been for generations. Nearby is Fudo-ji, the temple after which the surrounding area is named. Just a short walk from this quiet neighbourhood guests can find the busy shopping area around the Shijo-Kawaramachi intersection.
